An owner-run safari company, Goliath Safaris operates a luxury tented camp with canoe trails in the Lower Zambezi Valley.
The founder and co-owner, Stretch Ferreira, has operated in the Mana Pools area for over 25 years and was one of the pioneers of canoe trails and luxury tented safaris there. He is based in the heart of Mana Pools National Park on the banks of the Zambezi River at our semi-permanent Luxury Tented Camp. Mana Pools is a World Heritage Site and one of the last true wilderness areas on the continent. From here he conducts game drives, hikes and short canoe trips. Stretch is the main draw-card for anyone wanting a personalised safari, he is famous internationally for his close relationship and interaction with individual animals within the park.
Goliath Safaris boasts semi-luxury East African tents which are pitched amongst a grove of Albida and Mahogany trees. Each tent is fitted with twin beds and teak furnishings which include a dressing table and wardrobe. En-suite facilities include flush toilets, hot showers and a washstand. Public areas feature a covered lounge and bar, an open-air dining area and outside campfire seating.
All meals, drinks and activities are included in the rate.
