Zambezi Sands Tented Lodge is situated within the western area of the Zambezi National Park upstream of the Victoria Falls, on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River.

This lodge is unique in that it features not only the Zambezi River with its water based activities, glorious wildlife and scenery, but it is also close to the Victoria Falls.

At present Zambezi Sands Tented Lodge has 8 luxury tents – these comprise of 1 double (kingsize bed) and 7 twin (double beds). Each lodge comes with their own private splash pool.

A 4 bed family suite will be coming.


A dining room, lounge and bar with a shaded outdoor deck for an alfresco dining experience are some of the features of the Zambezi Sands Tented Lodge.

Sunset Cruise Amongst the Islands
A wonderful cruise on the Zambezi River amongst the islands near the lodge – enjoy the river, the wildlife and a Zambezi sunset, all with complimentary drinks and snacks.

Village Visit and School Tour – 1 hour drive from the Zambezi Sands Tented Lodge
Visit the Sidobe Village for an in depth look at life in a typical Zimbabwean village. The trip includes a moving performance of traditional songs sung by the local school children and a tour of the Sidobe School.

Game Drives
Travel in a traditional open safari vehicle driven by a licensed experienced guide. Land cruisers seat up to 9 guests and Land Rovers can accommodate up to 7 guests.

Game Walks
Usually undertaken in the early mornings, the game walks are conducted by a fully licensed and highly experienced professional guide. This is ideal for photography of big game on foot.
