Located adjacent to the Hwange National Park, Ivory Safari Lodge is situated on a 2430 hectare private concession in the Sikumi forest.
The lodge offers 9 tree house style rooms, 2 being presidential suites. All are sited on raised stilted platforms, have partially open sides, providing views of the Ivory waterhole. Comfortably but simply furnished with twin or double netted beds, fan, chairs and table. Each has an en-suite bathroom with a large shower and ablution facilities.
The two Presidential Elephant Suites elevation was designed to be able to look into the eye of any large animal visitor. Each suite has a double (netted) bed, fan, gauze windows for ventilation and a balcony facing the waterhole. The en-suite bathroom located behind the bedroom has a porthole window giving views of the bush, pan and waterhole from the bath. An indoor shower is also available.
Ivory Safari Lodge is ideally located for visitors to appreciate the abundant diversity of wildlife in the Hwange region and observe the antics of the protected Presidential Elephant herd as they roam and feed in the area and visit the camps waterhole.
Ivory Safari Lodge is accessible with all self- drive vehicles. It is located 2.5 km from the Victoria Falls/Bulawayo Road, a 2.5 hour drive away from Victoria Falls commercial airport and 3 hour drive from Bulawayo International airport. The local Hwange airport is only 8km away but restricted to private air charters.
