Camelthorn Lodge is snuggled in a patch of unspoiled woodland, west of Ngamo plain, on the southeast corner of the renowned Hwange National Park.
The lodge is strategically placed to provide a wilderness experience in this unspoilt and wild region of the park.
Unique in design, the lodge has utilized a huge, old Camelthorn tree as its centerpiece.
An underground blind is available close to the lodge and overlooking a park waterhole. An excellent photo opportunity is available from this camouflaged hide, buried under an ancient Mitswiri tree, of elephants at toe level!
Seeing huge bull elephants from 8 metres is an experience not to be missed.
