Day 1: Armadale Lodge – Harare

Arrive at Harare Int airport you will be met by our representative and transferred through the leafy suburbs of Harare to Armadale Lodge. Here you will spend the first night of your African adventure on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis. Lunch & drinks for your own account.

Located in the northern suburbs of Harare, Armadale Lodge offers a home away from home. Set in 2,5 acres of landscaped gardens, with a lovely swimming pool. The gardens have been developed over many years, and like the buildings, they have an incredible charm. Old fashioned and yet up to date and appealing. You will be surrounded by friendliness and warmth that is as familiar as the African sun.

There is a facility for meetings and small conferences. Lunches and dinners can be ordered and functions arranged. Armadale is an excellent venue for all occasions! The business traveller will find the facilities efficient, convenient, and private. Our business centre provides all the services one would expect from an office.

The property comprises of 8 en-suite bedrooms with a dining room and 2 lounges. Breakfasts are an occasion and guests can enjoy continental, health, or full English breakfasts. Our lunch and dinner menus vary from snacks and light meals to full dinners. Meals can also be taken on the patios or in the garden.


Day 2 – 5: Musango Safari Camp – Matusadona

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Harare international airport for your light aircraft flight to Musango Island. This flight will take approx. 1 hour & 10mins. On arrival to Bumi Hills airstrip, you will be met by your guide from Musango, driven down to the lake edge and you will then go by boat across the bay to Musango safari camp. You will spend the next 3 nights at Musango safari camp.

This private wilderness retreat is an island in the Matusadona National Park, on Lake Kariba, overlooking the Ume River and Matusadona Mountains. Hosts Steve and Wendy Edwards guarantee personal attention at all times. Musango is the only owner-run safari camp on the Lake.

Steve, professional guide, photographer, and ornithologist, will ensure guests receive nothing but the best whilst at this wildlife paradise. Maximum of 16 guests at any one time in 8 thatched units with en-suite facilities

Activities include safari walks, game-viewing, drives, boat cruises, canoeing, cultural village visits, visits to the baby black rhino orphanage and dinosaur.


Day 5 – 8: Somalisa Camp – Hwange

After breakfast, you will proceed across the bay by boat to Bumi Hills airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Manga airstrip Hwange. This flight will take approx. 1 .20 mins, on arrival at the airstrip you will be met by your safari guide and you will drive through the national park to Somalisa camp. Home for the next 3 nights of your safari.

Somalisa Camp is set in the heart of Hwange National Park and is known as the land of the giants for its big elephant herds. Nestled in a stunning location tucked away on an acacia island along the edge of an ancient seasonal flood plain, Somalisa provides guests with breath-taking views of the savannah plains across the famous Kennedy Vlei line.

At Somalisa Camp, you will experience the heightened romance of the African Bush in one of the most natural environments in Africa. This is the way Africa was meant to be explored.

Consisting of only six elegantly furnished canvas tents with en suite bathrooms, flush toilet, and romantic alfresco bush showers. The décor in the main lounge and dining area, echoes an era extending from the colonial day and age to the ancient tribes of Africa and tells stories from all corners of this magnificent continent.

The main decking area includes a small splash pool overlooking the natural pan where herds of game congregate to drink and where guests can relax whilst soaking in the African bush.

Activities include guided walks lead by qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you, game drives, and night drives. Wildlife sightings include elephant, kudu, sable antelope, zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, the rare and endangered roan antelope, buffalo, giraffe, white rhino, lion, leopard, hyena, and many other wildlife species.


Day 8 – 10: Ilala Lodge 4* star – Victoria Falls

After coffee, cereals, and rusks. You will go on a game drive through the national park to the main camp entrance, where you will meet your transfer vehicle which will drive you past Matabele villages to Ilala Lodge where you will spend the last 2 nights of your safari.

Ilala Lodge offers distinguished yet affordable accommodation in warm elegant surroundings. The décor evokes an era of early adventure and the quest for discovery in Africa.

The hotel is ideally situated being closest to the mighty Victoria Falls as well as the town centre. The National Park borders the front of the property and wild animals often graze on the hotel lawns with the spray of the falls in the background.

A warm welcome awaits you at our world-class a la Carte Palm Restaurant. We offer superb cuisine while you relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the gracious surrounds. Dining outside under the African night sky amidst the sound of the mighty waterfall makes for a romantic evening to be remembered.

All our rooms have en-suite facilities bathroom with separate shower, air conditioning, overhead fan, satellite TV, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities and a safe.

The rooms are spacious with railway sleeper teak furnishings and patio doors leading onto either open lawn or a balcony.

Experience new tastes, indulge in unusual flavors, and enjoy delectable dishes at The Palm Restaurant in view of the spray of the majestic Victoria Falls.


Day 11: After breakfast, you will be transferred to Victoria Falls airport for your onward Journey!!
