The A ‘Zambezi is the only hotel with a river frontage and jetty site in Victoria Falls. The recently renovated A’ Zambezi River Lodge is located on the bank of the Zambezi River, 5km upstream of Victoria Falls. This is the only hotel in Vic Falls with river frontage and is closest to the Zambezi National Park so impala, hippo, buffalo, and elephants are often spotted on the grounds perimeter; Sebastian, the resident hippo can sometimes be seen at night feeding on the lawns.
Most of the rooms have balconies facing the river and swimming pool whilst the rest face the National Park and the gardens.
A total of 83 rooms with enclosed balconies set in five 2-story buildings. All rooms have tea & coffee making facilities, air conditioning, DSTV & mosquito repellent.

Day 3 – 6: Ivory Lodge – Hwange National Park
After breakfast, you will be collected from A’Zambezi River Lodge for your onward road transfer to Hwange Main Camp for Ivory Lodge. You will drive approx. 2 hours through Ndebele villages south to Ivory Lodge.
Ivory Lodge is set on its own 6 000 acre conservancy bordering Hwange National Park which is the largest National Park in Zimbabwe – equivalent in size to Wales. Hwange has always been one of the best places to visit for a broad range of safari experiences and Ivory Lodge is “big game” country – lion, elephant leopard, and buffalo are seen regularly from camp as well as in the park. Ivory is built in the treetops of giant teak forests – diverse habitats attract a variety of wildlife and birdlife. This camp offers personal attention to a maximum of 12 guests only.
Accommodation and Facilities – The elevated en suite rooms are positioned with sweeping views of the waterhole that is floodlit by night. Night sounds become a mysterious cacophony of bugs and predators on the prowl which keep you wide-eyed to the earliest hours.
The Family unit has two double beds in it. The central dining area, bar, and library are set around the deep blue pool – a welcome haven from the scorching mid-day heat. Bush cuisine offers campfire barbeques under a massive blanket of stars. The hideout next to the waterhole is a refuge where a heightened wildlife experience is within a stone’s throw away. You don’t require a large telephoto lens to get some incredible close-ups of the big 5 that frequent the pan. Winter evenings are spent around the boma area – a log fire “star gazing pit” which has a direct view to the floodlit pan, so nothing goes unseen…..
Day 6: Ivory Lodge – Victoria Falls Airport
